Youthcom (Down and Connor Youth Commission) was set up in 1997 by Bishop Patrick Walsh as a response of the faith community to the perceived needs of young people within the diocese.

Members of the Commission come from a range of backgrounds, including full time and voluntary youth workers. All our members are widely experienced in working with, and for, young people. Youthcom is intensely aware and deeply appreciative of the individual and collective input of our membership. Youthcom was born of a desire to help and support young people within Down and Connor in all aspects of their life and growth, and the changing needs of young people implies a constant review of how we can walk and work with our young people.
